Why local matters here
Loughton & Epping Forest is one of our furthest rounds, so we're upfront about it: it costs more to get a carer to you, and a visit here isn't always same-day. What doesn't change is the vetting, the photo reports and a price you see before you pay.
It also means you tend to get the same carer each time. Animals notice, and so do gardens — whoever watered yours last summer already knows which pots dry out first and which gate sticks.
Postcodes we cover around Loughton & Epping Forest
Loughton and Buckhurst Hill sit right against the forest, Epping's old market town is further along the ridge, and Ongar and Waltham Abbey mark the far edge of the round. Travel to this area adds £4 a visit, shown in your quote before you pay.

Questions
Asked by people in Loughton & Epping Forest
If yours isn't here, send it over — a person answers.
All questionsHow far in advance should I book?
As early as you can, especially over school holidays and Christmas. We need at least 7 days' notice for any booking, because every visit has to be offered to a carer and accepted before we can promise it.
Can I change or cancel a booking?
Yes. Because you book online you also have 14 days to change your mind, whatever our own policy says. On top of that: cancel 7 or more days before the first visit and you get everything back, 2 to 7 days before and you get half. Inside 2 days we can't refund, because the visits are already on somebody's round and they have turned other work down to hold them. The Cancellation and Refunds Policy has worked examples.
Can I move a visit instead of cancelling it?
Yes, and there's no charge if we can staff the new time. Ask as early as you can. We can't promise the same carer for a moved visit, though we try.
How many visits a day do I need?
One a day suits most houses and most cats. A dog on its own needs two or more. If what you have picked looks like too little for the animals you have told us about, we will say so before you pay rather than after.
Can I have different times on different days?
Yes. Pick the days you want us, then set the time of day for each one — morning on Monday and evening on Wednesday is a perfectly normal booking. You only pay for the visits you actually choose.
