Trust & safety

You're handing over your keys. We take that seriously.

Here's how we check the people who visit, how your access details are protected, and what happens when something isn't right.

Enhanced DBS

Every carer holds a current enhanced DBS certificate. We track the expiry date and stop offering work the day it lapses.

Met in person

Nobody gets hired off a form. We interview face to face and take up references before anyone is handed a key.

Fully insured

We carry public liability insurance that covers our work at your property.

Photos, not promises

Every visit produces a timestamped report with photos, so you're never asked to just take our word for it.

The bit most companies skip

Your key safe code isn't sitting in a spreadsheet

Key safe codes, alarm codes and access instructions are encrypted in our database with their own key, kept separate from everything else. Nobody can browse them, because without that key there's nothing readable to browse.

A carer sees your codes only while your visit is actually happening — after they've tapped "Start visit" and before they tap "Complete visit". Outside that window the fields simply aren't shown.

Every time a code is revealed we record who saw it, which visit it was for, and when. Ask us for that record whenever you like.

If something's wrong at your house

Carers report a problem from their phone, with photos, before they leave. That opens an incident with a severity attached, and it goes straight in front of a person rather than sitting in an inbox.

You'll hear from us the same day. If we can't reach you we'll try your emergency contact. We'll take sensible steps to limit the damage in the meantime — turning the water off at the stopcock, calling an emergency plumber, getting a pet to the vet.

That day's report will say plainly what we found and what we're doing about it.

What we need from you

  • Accurate access details, including anything odd about the door, the alarm or the parking.
  • A working emergency contact who isn't travelling with you.
  • Honest information about your pets, especially nervous, strong or unwell ones.
  • Your vet's details, and written instructions for any medication.
